Project Manager

Salary: Circa £57,000

Location: UK Wide

Our Thermal client provides world class expertise in technical, commercial, project management, environmental and advisory aspects of thermal and renewable power generation technologies, cogeneration, combined heat and power, hydropower and desalination. A project manager is required to join the Generation Thermal Power Sub-division to lead one or more multi - disciplinary project teams undertaking wide range power generation projects worldwide. Key elements of this role include experience of thermal power generation plants gained in the design, manufacture, or operation of existing assets or the development of Greenfield power projects. Knowledge and experience of the contractual arrangements and interfaces such a Power Purchases Agreements, Fuel Supply Agreements, Engineer Procure and Construct Agreements, Operations and Maintenance Agreements, plant performance modelling, risk management and mitigation applicable to thermal power projects is desirable. The Job Role is to include, but not be limited to:Undertake hand-over from sales team and review QCDIS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Inventory and Satisfactory) scheduleCo-ordinate the purchasing function, to include sourcing suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring that technical specifications are met in the most cost effective manner possibleAct as the customer liaison, take responsibility for all interaction. Plan and manage all parts of major projects, ensure cohesion between individual partsMonitor and manager On Time Delivery of projectLiaise with sales / quotations team over specification or other changes, and any subsequent cost changesComplete and deliver management information reports, including sales and margin forecastEnsure that contractual, regulatory and quality (eg. ISO) obligations and standards are metDevelop and amend the project management process to ensure `best practice` is maintained across the businessExperience of undertaking feasibly studies or working as a Lenders/Owners` Engineer would be beneficial.
