This specialist mechanical and electrical quantity surveyors firm is currently looking to add a senior member of staff to their London based team. The company is looking for an experienced M&E quantity surveyor who would be comfortable managing the commercial aspects of a 20 million pound project in North London. The ideal candidate will have a track record of being the Lead QS on a number of large projects ideally with knowledge of working on data centres. You will already be working within the M&E building services sector and will be a self starter as the company is looking for someone who can come in and hit the ground running. Key responsibilities will involve identifying replacement costs, dates and the condition for all M&E building elements as well as identifying the priority of each element replacement. Also you`ll support the maintenance team in order to provide the best life cycle solutions to their improvement and response requirements, as well as producing and monitoring risk registers.As the successful candidate you`ll have experience of the following:M&E surveying backgroundKnowledge of the legislative aspects of building services, HS&E:Your responsibilities will include the following:Carrying out M&E Condition Surveys to Building Services within an MOD Estate in accordance with the Defence Estates asset rating methodology.Identifying all Statutory & Mandatory requirements and gaps within Building Service requirements.Carrying out close co-operation with relevant M & E maintenance and asset teams and internal authorities.Employing sound Data management controls that provide transparency, trace ability, audit ability & configuration control.Producing & monitoring building services risk registers in support of the establishment forward maintenance register.Producing & assisting the Estates team in the delivery of Investment Appraisals & Business cases.Maintain knowledge of current legal developments in respect of construction and associated lawIn addition to the above, this role is responsible for Interfacing & reporting to Estate Maintenance Manager information relating to all building surveying issues to ensure the company continually meet financial, quality and programme expectations of their clients & customers.Education/Qualifications Required:Degree in an M&E discipline and working towards Chartered Status. HNC minimum with appropriate experience would be favourably considered.Extensive knowledge of the legislative aspects of Building Services, Health, Safety & the Environment.Previous experience as an M&E Surveyor within a facility management environmentKnowledge and experience of MS toolkit software packages & Building Management software.Please email your CV to info@elliotmarsh.com
